We all want that clear, radiant skin. So, where do we start? Sometimes all you need is a better skincare routine that gets you through the day! Check out these 3 simple tips that will definitely put you on the right path to healthier skin and a healthier you!

Tip #1: Less Is More

Prioritize and minimize! Including a bunch of different products in your routine isn’t necessarily the best. Especially when what you’re putting on your face could potentially worsen or create more issues. Instead, what you should do is start with the basics (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, SPF). Give yourself time to really know your skin.

Once you’ve figured it out through and through, you can then either keep your routine simple or embellish it a little. For instance, you can add serums or boosters that do more when your skin is in desperate mode. At the end of the day, it’s your own skin, nobody else’s. Only YOU know what it needs and wants.

Tip #2: Exfoliate to Your Skin’s Needs

We love our powerhouse chemical exfoliants! But, how and when should we use them? The answer really depends on your skin type and what you’re using the exfoliants for. The best way is to pick products and spread them out according to your skin’s needs at that specific time. For example, if you’re dealing with stubborn breakouts, go in with a gentle exfoliating toner to use throughout the week. You can also try incorporating exfoliating masks, which deliver that hard-hitting reset and skincare umph.

Depending on the situation, you might not even need to use them at all! Just note, chemical exfoliants are not a must-have. Hydrating and soothing ingredients are just as important for healthy, glowing skin.

Tip #3: Eat Your Way to Bing Bing Skin

Treating your skin isn’t just about the products you apply, but also the foods that you eat. They say what you feed yourself will show up on your face. Sometimes, for the worse (I totally mean that post-barbeque, all-you-can-eat breakout!). So it’s important to recognize this connection and be more mindful and aware.

That being said, you don’t have to eat healthy all the time or go on a strict diet. Find a balance and take it one day at a time.
